Delicious quinoa Bowl Ideas

Quinoa bowl recipe is easy to throw together for lunch, dinner or even meal prep. It takes less than an hour to put everything together. It would be even easier; if we have our ingredients or toppings ready ahead of time to put together our quinoa bowl. Then we will have a healthy and delicious meal ready in just few minutes.
Here is how we make our yummy and healthy quinoa bowl.
We can use any type of quinoa, red, white or mixed. Most of the quinoa we get from the grocery store are rinsed and bagged or boxed. Sometimes the quinoa might not be rinsed specially if we buy it in bulks so it is a good idea to rinse the quinoa before cooking it.
The recipe to cook the quinoa is 1 cup of quinoa with 2 cups of water or broth. Cook uncovered until the water boils then reduce the heat cover the pot and cook 12 to 15 minutes, or until you do not see any water. Fluff the quinoa and it is ready to be served.
Now that we have our quinoa ready we can use it for many recipes. We can top it with veggies, beans, chicken, beef, seafood or use it in salads, breakfasts and many more things.
Here I have some ideas for you.
My first one is Mexican quinoa bowl.
To your bowl add your quinoa
Add black beans ( I use canned black beans rinsed to get rid of the excess salt)
Add chopped tomatoes
Add chopped purple onions (optional but it gives it good flavor)
Add corn ( added frozen corn)
Add sliced avocado or guacamole
Add salsa ( store bought or home made)
Add chopped cilantro.
Squeeze lemon or lime
Add a pinch of salt and some black pepper.
Mix well and enjoy
You can add cheese or any meat you like to your Mexican quinoa bowl.
The second bowl is Asian style quinoa bowl.
Add your cooked quinoa to your bowl
Add chopped cucumber
Add shredded carrots
chopped bell peppers
sliced almonds or chopped peanuts
You can also add any sea food or meat to your bowl
I have prepared some yummy dressing for this bowl
In a bowl or a jar add 2 tsp almond or peanut butter, add 2 tsp sriracha sauce, add 1/2 lime juice, and add 2 tbs water
add salt and pepper and mix all the ingredients well.
Drizzle over your quinoa bowl and mix well and enjoy.
The third quinoa bowl is a delicious Mediterranean quinoa bowl
Add your cooked quinoa to a bowl
Add Garbanzo beans ( I used canned rinsed to remove the salt)
Roasted veggies ( I used roasted sweet potatoes)

Add chopped cucumber
Add chopped cucumber
Add feta cheese
drizzle with Tahini sauce ( for tahini sauce 2 tsp tahini sauce, add lemon juice add 3 tsp water add 1 tsp maple syrup (optional) and mix well)
The 4th quinoa bowl is Italian style quinoa bowl
Add cooked quinoa to a bowl
Add prepared pesto add two or three table spoon depending how much quinoa you have in the bowl
Add garbanzo beans or white beans
Add chopped kale or spinach
Add chopped nuts I added chopped walnuts
Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese one top
Add any type of meat you like optional
Mix all the elements well and serve or enjoy.
My 5th bowl is Roasted veggie quinoa bowl
Add cooked quinoa bowl
Add roasted veggie (I used Roasted sweet Potatoes and Roasted beets)
Add chopped spinach
Add chopped sauteed bell peppers or mushrooms or onions
Add any meat or sea food you like (optional)
squeeze some Lemon on top mix well and enjoy
