How to make delicious and Healthy Granola
What makes a granola yummy is the crunchiness, the nuttiness and of course the sweetness. I have two wonderful, delicious and healthy granola recipes. Cranberry Nutty granola and Chocolate Almond granola. Both of these have healthy ingredients and natural sweeteners; so nothing to compromise there.
So for our Cranberry Nutty Oats granola we are using Rolled oats, nuts like sliced almonds, walnuts and natural peanut butter. I also used cinnamon and pumpkin spice. You can use nutmeg, ginger powder instead of the pumpkin spice. The aroma in the house is just wonderful with all these spices. We toss all these wonderful ingredients with some coconut oil, maple syrup and honey. Then bake it to perfection at 325 degree for about 35-45 minutes stirring every 10-15 min.
Here are the ingredients needed
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced almond
1/2 cup walnuts
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs pumpkin spice
pinch of salt
2 tbs coconut oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup cranberry
Make it
Melt the peanut butter, honey, maple syrup and coconut oil until smooth.
In a bowl add oats, nuts and spices and mix well. Do not add the cranberries yet.
Add the melted peanut butter mixture and mix well until everything is coated
Once Mixed well add to a baking sheet spread well and bake at 325 degrees for 35- 40 min. Make sure to stir every 10 min.
Remove from oven and let cool down. Add the cranberries at this point and mix well. Keep in an air tight container. This can keep for about 2 weeks.
This is good to eat for breakfast or snack. It is good like a cereal or to top a Yogurt (parfait) or oatmeal. So many option.
